Hi I am looking for Internet at the cottage located just in Fort colounge, Quebec what are the options
Hi Jeff
I am not familiar with Internet providers in Quebec but when thinking about the right service for you here are the key things to consider:
1. Do you just need it for email and surfing or do you want to stream content? Streaming content requires more bandwidth and can be very expensive
2. Location will determine the services available. Line of sight needs a direct view of the tower.
3. The fastest service will likely be the most expensive, satellite will likely be the slowest – line of sight often is a decent compromise between speed and cost
I hope this helps.
i have a trailer in portrown Ontario wondering if they have wireless sattilite yet ?
Hi Brenda
I am sorry I don’t know the answer to that. Try calling http://www.xplornet.com and see if they offer the service there.
need a tv provide and internet on three mile lake help
I would look to Bell Satellite for TV and then I would try calling
TelCom North Technologies to see if you can get line of sight service. Of course if speed is more important Bell has a cellular service.
We have a cottage on Devils Lake. Not accessible by road. Only require Internet service for about 3-4 months per year. What options do you suggest?
Donna
Hi Donna
Sorry for the delay in answering. If you have a good cell signal and you just want it for email and surfing I would look at the mobile hub services offered by Bell or Rogers. They now have different types of plans that may fit well in your budget and timelines
